About Us
ANGSANAcare (Persatuan Kebajikan Angsana Kuala Lumpur, registration date: 03-03-2015, Society registration no. PPM 026-14-03032015), has since July 2015, been operating within the Tunku Azizah Childrens Hospital (GHKL). It has provided a full range of professional, psychological support services to paediatric patients who are chronically or severely ill in the Oncology, Neurology, Respiratory, Nephrology, and ICU wards.
We work with stakeholders who are invested in mental health care of marginalised and vulnerable children and adolescents.
ANGSANAcare is the only non-governmental organisation providing free professional, complementary care services in the form of art, music and play therapies to the hospitalized and underprivileged in Malaysia. Although this type of approach to working with children with life limiting or life threatening diseases is relatively new in Malaysia, the concept and practice that we use has been successfully tried and tested for decades in UK, Australia, China, India and Singapore based hospitals and hospices.
